This week, Carrie and Tim decide to cut the small talk and get-right-to-it with their Oscar predictions for the upcoming awards ceremony. But then, they didn't do that at all... and somewhere around the 45 min mark they remembered that this is a film podcast *goshdarnit* and got right down to the business of movies.
Tune in and we hope you enjoy!

This week, Carrie and Tim are on their own. Left to their own devices, the conversation veers from film, to exotic dancers, back to film and back to gastrointestinal struggles, as all good podcasts do. By Patreon supporter Zotch Ross's request, Carrie brings her thoughts on Once Upon a Time in China and thoughts on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Tim brings his thoughts on THX-1138, at the request of Tristan Frayling.
Tune in!

This month, Tim and Brennan are digging the horror movie skeletons out of the closets of actors nominated for Oscars this year! First, we’re starting with Ana de Armas, who was nominated for her performance as Marilyn Monroe in Blonde. But 7 years before that, she was in the scrappy little Eli Roth exploitation film that couldn’t, KNOCK KNOCK! Let’s talk talk about it!

To close out our month of follow-ups, Brennan and Tim are diving back into the feature that followed 1988’s Elvira, Mistress of the Dark by a lot longer than seems proper: the 2002 pastiche ELVIRA’S HAUNTED HILLS!

Happy New Year, everyone! This week, Carrie and Tim are joined by Mandy Albert to discuss our most anticipated films of 2023! We might not have enough titles to populate a full Top 5, but it’s still a bracing discussion of what’s next at the movies!
Also, make sure to nominate your favorite titles in Mandy's Golden Spoon Awards here: https://www.alternateending.com/blog/alternate-ending-presents-the-golden-spoon-awards-phase-i-nominations

Tim and Brennan are kicking off the new year by following up on titles they covered throughout 2022. A couple months ago, we covered the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead, so it’s high time to circle back around and cover the 2004 remake of DAWN OF THE DEAD, directed by Zack Snyder and written by James Gunn!

With many thanks to Patreon subscriber Jack C. we have been given a real doozy of a topic for this week: Top 5 Movies You Hate That Everyone Else Loves
Seems pretty innocuous, right? WRONG. This topic is at the foundation of where all blood baths are formed. Tensions where high, but the episode remained *mostly* cordial, due to pure mental and emotional fatigue from our respective hosts.
Whose list do you agree with the most? Which one leaves you the most enraged?
Tune in to find out!

Christmas (or whatever holiday makes you giddy with glee) came early here at Alternate Ending. We're joined by one of our favorite humans, Catherine Clark! You may have seen some of her writing contributions on ae.com, but she's also an artist, film producer and officially the best cat Mom on the planet (don't tell Tim).
If there was a contest for the person in our lives who would be the least likely to get kicked out of a Gen-Z party, Catherine would win in a landslide. Meanwhile, Carrie still uses words like "hip" and "cool whip" in public conversations. Needless to say, their feelings on Bodies Bodies Bodies...differ.
Catherine also brings the Triangle of Sadness, which she compares to Parasite only with Woody Harrelson (there are less intriguing ways to describe a movie).
The pair round out the conversation with their perspectives on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
We promise and cross-our-hearts that this is a spoiler-free episode.
Tune in and have a great week, friends!

It was a movie-palooza on this week's episode of Pass the Popcorn! Carrie brings her thoughts on Barbarian and by the request of Patreon supporter Brian Fowler, commiserates with Tim on her adoration for Smiles of a Summer Night.
Brennan and Tim take their hits on the newest nun-horror flick Prey for the Devil and takes a quick turn to the life and times of Al Yankovic as captured in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
Finally, we turn to Tim who gives us the low-down on the newest remake of All Quiet on the Western Front and by Patreon Kelleson Dale's request, Tim reviews the weird little tale of a brood of animated appliances in The Brave Little Toaster.
We also learn exactly what foods irritate our respective bowels, because this is a classy podcast.

It's Halloween! - so to celebrate, we're doing a deep dive into horror. Specifically the squishy, gooey, gross-out side of horror as we discuss our top 5 gory movies. Cannibals, zombies, particularly messy vampires - if it's accompanied by a whole fuckload of red-dyed Karo syrup, we're going to be splashing around in all of its revolting excess. There will, as the fella said, be blood. Especially, after Carrie tries to defend her number 2 pick. Tune in!

On this week's episode we answer all of your probing questions. How did Carrie survive 2 weeks with Rob "away"? Was Rob really "away" or have Carrie and Tim secretly chopped him into bits and hid him in the floor boards? Why do we keep putting "away" in quotes?

After the tragic loss of our original episode audio, we're a little late this week but Carrie and Tim did their best to lick their wounds and rally to re-record our Fall 2022 favorites episode!
In worth mentioning, Carrie brings the new "low budget" high-tower thriller Fall and Tim tries to sell Carrie on the recently released horror flick Smile.

One of our favorite episodes of the year is here - where we sit down to debate the merits of the best of the Summer! It was an odd episode, overflowing with mayhem for may reasons, including (but not limited to) Carrie taking the reins as host and having the most overlap with Tim's picks for the season than ever before. How will Tim react? Well, you'll just have to tune in to find out!
